Lawrence Valenti

LAWRENCE VALENTI is an award-winning illustrator & design artist based out of San Francisco. He started working with Bryan on this project in Fall 2005 and since then has been involved with character & environment design, storyboarding, and even a little brainstorming on animation technique.

Originally from St. Louis, Lawrence has worked with Marvel, Disney Interactive, Apple, Silicon Graphics, Animation Collective NYC, and TransGlobal Communications.

Lawrence currently teaches digital illustration at his Alma Mater, the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Eddy Piedra

EDDY PIEDRA has been involved with CAPES since the very beginning. Originally brought onboard to create the rigs for our 3D models, Eddy stuck around to fix all the software problems we encountered during animation (and even to make occasional house-calls to fix our software glitches.)

Eddy grew up in Houston, TX before moving to California in 2001. He has a BFA in animation & visual effects from the Academy of Art University. He currently lives in San Francisco and works as a character rigger for the Lucasfilm animated TV series 'The Clone Wars.'

Prashanth V. S.

PRASHANTH VEERARAGHAVAN SRINIVASAN started his career in 2001 as a 3D visual effects artist for feature films & commercials. He then moved into the field of 3D tracking & compositing, supervising visual effects at the Shooting Spot (India.) His clients include McCann-Erickson Singapore, Bates Singapore Ltd., and the Discovery Channel. Prashanth has been part of two teams that won Indian National Awards for visual effects in film: 'Magic Magic' (Navodaya) and 'Anji' (M.S. Arts.)

Prashanth created the weather visual effects in CAPES (wind, sand, fog, clouds), as well as a few 3D camera animations. He is also responsible for crowd simulation.

Albert Wood

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, CAPES animator ALBERT WOOD is proficient in both traditional 2D, as well as digital 3D animation. He has worked on numerous short films & animated TV series over the years, including the hit TV show 'Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius' (DNA Productions.) Albert has also worked with Kensington Falls Studio and the Carnegie Center in Pittsburgh, providing animation/illustration for television commercials & print advertisements.

Albert's wackiness manifests itself in the CAPES skeleton animation. They are an extension of his personality, and he is responsible for giving them life on-screen.

Albert received his BFA in animation from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. He currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona.

Allen Lecorre

ALLEN LeCORRE is a freelance animator living in Costa Rica. He is another CAPES veteran — brought onboard in Spring 2006 and responsible for practically all of the Atreus animation in our final film.

Allen is originally from Edmonton, Canada. His interests include all things related to animation & ice hockey (although he doesn't play much in Costa Rica.) His animation experience includes the TV series 'Beast Wars,' 'Reboot,' 'Action Man,' and 'Shadow Raiders' at Rainmaker Entertainment (formerly Mainframe.) He also a supervised a team of animators for the DVD releases of 'Casper's Haunted Christmas' & 'Barbie.'

Since 2004 Allen has been teaching digital animation at the Universidad Veritas in Costa Rica. He has a degree from the Vancouver Film School.

Ian Lang

At the start of CAPES production, IAN LANG was living in Charlotte and working as a supervising animator for a small independent company. Since then Ian moved out to Pasadena, California & is currently head of the motion capture FX/animation team at House of Moves.

Ian's skills in animation are diverse. He has experience in 2D cartoons, 3D digital animation, motion capture for games, and realistic creature FX. Thanks to CAPES, he is now an expert in anthropomorphic tree animation.

Like all of the key animators involved with this film, Ian is a trooper. He is an expert at deciphering what it is a director wants from webcam Internet chats & nonsensical phone conversations.

Ian has a degree from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
